Muhammad Sarfaraz
(General Secretary)
Muhammad Sarfaraz, the driving force behind Al-Imdad Welfare Foundation Trust. He's been with the organization ever since it started back in 2011, serving as our General Secretary with a lot of heart and commitment. Over the years, he's been key in helping the Foundation grow into a bright and trusted organization that's really making a difference in people's lives through various humanitarian projects. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, which gives him a solid understanding of finances and administration. But what really sets him apart is his natural leadership and genuine passion for helping others. He's careful about making sure every rupee sent to the Trust is used wisely, transparently, and effectively. One of his major focuses has been on water projects—something that's critical but often overlooked in many rural parts of Pakistan. Under his guidance, the Foundation has set up numerous water supply initiatives: - Installing hundreds of hand pumps in water-scarce villages, so families can get clean drinking water right at their doorstep. Each one is carefully placed based on surveys to maximize benefits. - Digging deep water wells in areas where hand pumps aren’t enough, especially in drought-prone regions like Sindh, Baluchistan, and Southern Punjab. Sarfaraz personally oversees the entire process—from choosing sites to making sure they're maintained. - Promoting solar-powered water systems to ensure sustainable water access, even in off-grid locations with limited energy. Beyond water, Sarfaraz has put a lot of effort into building and renovating mosques in underserved communities. Under his leadership, many new mosques have gone up, and existing ones have been upgraded—especially in poor rural areas where there's little access to prayer spaces, Islamic education, or community gathering spots. These mosques are now more than places to pray; they're centers for learning, peace, and social unity. Every project is personalized to local needs—complete with proper ablution areas, shaded prayer spaces, and sometimes dedicated rooms for Qur’an classes. What really makes Muhammad Sarfaraz stand out is his hands-on approach. He doesn’t just stay at his desk; he often visits projects in the field, talks directly with the people benefiting from the work, checks the progress, and listens to their needs. His sincerity and humility have earned him the trust and respect of everyone—beneficiaries, donors, and team members alike. His leadership keeps the mission of the Trust alive and active, driven by the core idea: "Serving Humanity with Honesty and Trust.
